Youth basketball registration is now open for boys and girls ages 7-14. The registration fee is $70, and the deadline to sign up is Sunday, Oct. 6. Tryouts will take place on either Saturday, Oct. 12, or Tuesday, Oct. 15, with games starting on Saturday, Nov. 2, and running through Saturday, Dec. 14. Games will be played at Thomas Jefferson Recreation Center, with the Palm Avenue Gym as an additional venue, pending approval.
"Register now and experience the thrill of competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship," said WRPD District Manager Chris Serna. "Recreation programs provide all kids, no matter their skill level, the opportunity to be part of a team where lifetime friends are made, skills are developed, all while having fun!"
