Serving the community since 1970
I find it interesting how time passes. In some ways it feels slow, like waiting for a train to pass or water to boil. In other ways it seems fast, like I was just in high school the other day (I graduated in 1976)!
Maybe like me, you relate to time in much the same way. It may feel like you never have enough for the things you love or wish it would pass for the things you don't enjoy. Either way, time is going to pass, and it often causes us to reflect upon life.
As I do that, I've come to the conclusion that the most rewarding parts of life revolve around relationships.
As a pastor, I've performed more funeral services than I can possibly remember, but each one occurs because of a relationship being interrupted by death. As families and friends gather to remember the person who has passed, they typically share about their relationship with that person.
Wherever you are along the timeline of your life, let me encourage you to prioritize the relationships you have. They can change in a moment of time, and we may wish we'd spent more time with that person.
Most importantly, let me encourage you to prioritize your relationship with Jesus. It will be time well spent!
