Magdalena "Maggie" Dabalos

Magdalena "Maggie" Dabalos, age 74, of Shafter, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 7, 2024.

She was born in Sundown, Texas, on March 28, 1949, to Hilario Dabalos and Luisa Garza.

Maggie moved to California in 1987. She worked as a cafeteria aide for 31 years. She loved her job at Grow Academy.

Maggie is survived by her partner, Johnnie Martinez: daughters JoAnn Munoz and Sofia Sanders: stepson Johnny Martinez; grandchildren Joe Munoz, Joel Munoz, Joseph Munoz, Maggie McCullar, Armando Macias, Isaiah Zacarias and Kiarra Sanders: and great grandchildren Thalia Angulo, Johnathan Munoz, Audrina Munoz, Anthony McCullar, Joel Munoz Jr, and Jaime Macias.

She enjoyed going to the beach, crossword puzzles, watching her Dallas Cowboys and watching Lifetime shows.

Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Therese's Catholic Church, Shafter. Graveside services to follow at Shafter Memorial Park.

Visitation to be held Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 3-8 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter.
