Janie Faye Ferrell-Colbert

Our precious mother, Janie Faye Ferrell-Colbert, age 80, passed from this earth to paradise on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024 at Bakersfield Heart Hospital.

Momma devoted her life to her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, of which there are many, many, many! Always with unconditional love this truly amazing woman was involved with all of our lives. Those whose lives she touched already know she was a strong, independent, feisty and most beautiful woman.

She leaves behind five daughters and a son: daughter Glenda and son in law Michael Pitcairn, of Kern County; daughter Mona and son in law Rick Sturgeon, of Lonoke County. Ark.; daughter Donna Gray, of Kern County; son Raymond Ferrell Jr., of Arkansas; daughter Teresa Dawson, of Kern County; and daughter Christina Colbert, of Kern County.

Janie was a warrior woman, raised up hard in Southern Arkansas. Her vivacious personality, loving spirit and deep determination and success in her life was and is nothing short of amazing.
