Robert ``Bob'' Wayne Krause

Robert "Bob" Wayne Krause went to live with his Heavenly Father on Jan. 12, 2024, while surrounded by family and friends.

Born on June 11, 1940, in Reedley, Bob grew up and attended school in Shafter. As a young man, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad, racing cars and sports. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He attended college at Bakersfield College, Pacific Western University, and National University, earning his B.A. in accounting and teaching credential, then earning his master's degree in mathematics education from Fresno Pacific University.

He began his career in accounting, then transitioned to teaching math until retirement. Bob was a member of the Congregational Bible Church of Shafter. He was a Rotarian for many years. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Reily, and father, John Reily. He is survived by Marcia Krause, his wife of 56 years; daughter Kristian Krause of Lake Forest; son Michael Krause; daughter-in-law Emily Krause; and grandchildren Lucien and Madeline Krause of Tulsa, Okla.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the Congregational Bible Church, 430 E. Tulare Ave.
