The Wasco High Tigers continued their winning ways on Friday night, beating the Golden Valley Bulldogs in a non-league contest 45-14. The Tigers upped their record with the win to 4-1 on the season.
The Tigers started early in the game, rolling up rushing yardage on the Bulldog defense. In a season that has shown the Tigers have a potent passing game with quarterback David Manzo, it was not needed for the most part, with running back Izaiah Juarez rushing for more than 200 yards on the ground.
Juarez also had two touchdowns, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a score on defense. Manzo did show his efficient arm with
a 40-yard touchdown pass to Eli Vasquez that widened the lead for the Tigers. Amaiez Marquez also had a great game, with a touchdown and 124 yards rushing.
The Tigers will return to SSL play on Friday night with a game against Kennedy High School from Delano.
