PEO marches on, installs officers

The new officers for the local JT Chapter of P.E.O were installed recently.

The venue for the March meeting was at the home of Pat Ketcherside. The rustic barn and stables and fire pit provided the setting for the outdoor meeting and St. Patrick's Day-themed lunch. The resident cat provided the entertainment. Members who could not attend participated via Zoom.

The meeting included a memorial service for member Virginia Yursik who had been an active member for 20 years. Old-and-new business was presented following the service as well as installation of new officers for 2021-2022. President Janet Grundt presided over the meeting then turned the office over to the new president, Judy Proffitt.

The new officers are Proffitt, Vice President Nancy Neufeld, Treasurer Priscilla Neufeld, Recording Secretary Cheryl Woody, Corresponding Secretary Sharon Nicol, Guard Barbara Ware and Chaplain Karen Holtermann.

Proffitt has chosen "Reconnecting" as the theme for the next term, focusing on getting back together and continuing the sisterhood after a year uncertainty and restrictions.
