The Wasco Bengals hit the road on Saturday to face Bakersfield Central, and the varsity team came home with a big 44-8 win.
Michael Villalpando scored three of the Bengals' touchdowns. On offense, he scored two rushing touchdowns and had a late catch for a first down that helped keep the Bengals rolling.
On defense, Villalpando was all over the field with multiple tackles, including a strip fumble which he took for a touchdown as well.
All teams played great and brought home wins in three of the four matchups against Central. They are scheduled to play at home Saturday, Sept. 7 against the Bakersfield Wolverines, with the first game starting at 9 a.m.
