Donations sought for back to school

Drive Supervisor David Couch is sponsoring a Back to School Drive to collect supplies for the coming year throughout District 4.

The supervisor’s office invites residents to contribute “gently used and new” backpacks, pencils and pens, notebooks, colored pencils, pencil boxes and folders to benefit families within the district.

Drop-off locations include all of his offices, including 329 Central Valley Highway in Shafter. Couch’s office is also offering to pick up donations. This can be arranged by calling the office at 661-868-36.80.
