Shay came into the Wasco Animal Shelter as a stray. She is approximately a 2-4-year-old female schnauzer terrier mix. Shay is great with the staff and other dogs. It is unknown if Shay is house/crate trained at the time. Dogs are not tested with children. Her behavior toward children is unknown. Shay will be available for adoption on Friday, June 9. Come out to the Shafter Animal Shelter and meet this gentleman named Beau. Beau is a young, tan, fawn and cream-colored cattle dog mix. He is a lovable guy who is also friendly, smart, playful and very curious. Beau is also a funny guy who makes you laugh and would be good in a home with other dogs. The Pet of the Week for Shafter is Sage, an adult female German shepherd mix. She is friendly, affectionate, playful. Sage is also a very smart and curious dog, who will make you laugh and can also keep up with you as an active person. Sage is very active and would do well in a home with a little room to run around and also a tall fence to keep her safe. Derek is a tan and black shepherd mix who is about 1½ years old. He is an adorable guy who came into the Shafter Animal Shelter a little shy. Hi friends! Meet our energetic boy, Simba! Simba is a Red and White Husky and is about 2 years old. He has done well when being introduced to dogs of a similar size. Simba loves to run around and be goofy. We would recommend an obedience class as he could learn a few things about being a good boy.
