This adorable little lady is Peanut, a spunky, affectionate Chihuahua with the softest chocolate-brown fur. About 3-5 months old, she's ready to fill your life with love and snuggles. Peanut was found as a stray but has shown how sweet and friendly she is with staff and other small dogs. While we don't know if she's house/crate trained, she's likely a quick learner. Her compatibility with kids hasn't been tested, but if you're looking for a loyal, cuddly companion, Peanut might be your perfect...

Say hello to Nano! This spotted Jack Russell terrier, around 2-3 years old, came into the Wasco Animal Shelter as a stray and is ready for a new family. With his playful, friendly nature and love for cuddles, he gets along well with staff and dogs of all sizes. It's unknown if he's house/crate trained and hasn't been tested with children. Meet Andy, an adorable 2-year-old poodle with a bubbly personality and soft, curly fur. Found as a stray, he's a gentle, cuddly companion who enjoys being around people and dogs his size. Mavis is a sweet and playful 4-5-year-old female German shepherd mix who came to the Wasco Animal Shelter as a stray and has quickly won over the hearts of the staff with her friendly nature. She gets along great with other dogs, both male and female, and is always ready to play. Mavis already knows how to sit and spin, making her a fun companion to train and bond with. The Shafter Library & Learning Center is pleased to welcome the new community services supervisor, Rebecca Bernal. The position has been redesignated from SLLC manager because in addition to leading the team at the SLLC, Bernal will be involved in planning and organizing the city's downtown events.
