During the Wasco Rose Festival, the Wasco Historical Society Museum held an open house on Saturday, giving residents a chance to take a peek back in time, with a variety of artifacts on display. Shafter held its First Friday event on Sept. 6, attracting hundreds of residents downtown. Despite the heat, the crowd was enthusiastic and enjoyed a variety of offerings at the event.
