Aliyah Ramos Esquivel, a dancer who lives in Shafter, was recognized recently with a prestigious Team Scholarship award from the Hollywood Vibe Company. The Shafter Children's Summer Theater celebrated its 25th anniversary with three performances of The Lion King over the weekend.
