    The city plans to drill new wells and treat water at eachg site rather than centralize water treatment for nitrates and 1-2-3-TCP contaminates, Mayor Tilo Cortez said after Tuesday night's City Council discussion of the issue. "The city decided that it appears to be more practical to drill new wells and treat those wells at each individual site," Cortez said.     The Wasco Bengals varsity cheerleaders pulled off a difficult feat at two competitions this season.     The Wasco High School FFA Booster Club held a whimsical fundraiser where adults could paint to their hearts’ content. The fundraiser, “For the Love of AG,” raised money for FFA student scholarships. Cost for participating in the event was $25 per person, which included a blank easel, as much paint as needed and snacks. The paint night was held Feb. 1 at the VFW Hall.
