One of the most rewarding projects of PEO, Philanthropic Education Organization, is to award scholarships to young women throughout the world. The local chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization had fun mixing business with pleasure at the recent December meeting. The meeting was held at the Shafter home of Priscilla Neufeld. The regular business meeting was followed by an auction of holiday specialty items donated by JT members. The new officers for the local JT Chapter of P.E.O were installed recently. The venue for the March meeting was at the home of Pat Ketcherside. The rustic barn and stables and fire pit provided the setting for the outdoor meeting and St. Patrick's Day-themed lunch. The resident cat provided the entertainment.
